BYD Uruguay Showroom

In the midst of the implementation of electric mobility in Uruguay, the Chinese brand BYD has positioned itself as a leader in the sale of electric vehicles and decided to install a differential showroom in the neighborhood of Carrasco.

For this purpose, a "glass box" is defined with ample visibility from the street, connected at the back, by ramps, with a service area, and its front towards the shopping mall.

A structure of metal frame porticos, positioned on a base that visually separates it from the floor, is wrapped in glass, forming a sort of high-end show window, with high visibility, especially at night, when the light beams make the suspended ceiling function as a plane of light reflection.

The lighting was resolved in two planes: a lower one with wall washers embedded in the floor that subtly highlight the internal structural skeleton, and an upper one, embedded in the suspended ceiling with light beams focused on the cars.

The ceiling is an independent plane, clad in aluminum composite plate, suspended at a lower height, leaving the sides free for the passage of natural light.

Other highlights include video walls, a suspended sculpture at the central point by artist Mane Gurméndez, a vertical garden welcoming visitors from the outside and, of course, the vehicles.

The sculpture was executed with laser cuts of lacquered metal sheets, with motifs of phrases that the advertising agency invited the audience to express about their dreams, honoring the brand's claim "build your dreams", what are your dreams?
